Two new standard zooms for DX and FX

These lenses have almost identical range, but are made for very different cameras…

The lens on the left covers a range of 27-83mm on DX (APS-C) format camera. The one one the right is a little wider and longer at 24-85mm on FX (full frame). But essentially, they offer just about the same angle of view from their respective platforms.

This is a testament to just how versatile the DX format is. The size and weight difference is enormous, and mounted to the new D3300, this latest iteration of the 18-55mm kit lens delivers a tremendous amount of power in a lightweight package.
