Duane Reade seems to be the place to go for Fujifilm. The other Duane Reade in Penn Station, on the lower level at the north end, has even more Fuji film and disposable cameras. Walgreens on the other hand seems to be aligned with Kodak, and they also have their own house brand.
However, a representative at a local Target store says that they will no longer be processing film after next week, and also will not offer kiosks for prints from digital images. “Customers bring in images that are out of focus, and when they receive their prints, they complain that they’re blurry and don’t want to pay for them”, one representative said. They also stated that CVS Pharmacy will follow suit. As they said this, a woman next to me unloaded about 13 disposable cameras from a plastic bag for processing.
CVS Pharmacy, which also carries Kodak film exclusively along with their CVS brand says that this is not true, and has no plans of discontinuing film development and printing any time soon.
